On June 10, 2014 the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance with generous support from Southwest Airlines, late PRAA Board Chair Juan M. Mendez and other community efforts, a delegation of 12 Borinqueneers traveled from Chicagoland area to receive their Congressional Gold Medal.
