The Puerto Rican Arts Alliance (PRAA) offers music lessons for all levels and ages in violin, guitar and cuatro. There are numerous ways to get involved:
1) Through group lessons at the Latin Music Project Center at 2958 N Milwaukee Ave.
2) Through PRAA’s Latin Music Project Ensemble, which allows intermediate and advanced students to advance and perform around Chicago.
3) Through Chicago Public School (CPS) sites that partner with PRAA to offer classes after school. Students from CPS school sites may join additional Latin Music Project Center classes or audition to join our ensemble.
4) PRAA also offers additional opportunities throughout the year, including: special performances, private lessons, youth workshops and more!
PRAA accepts enrollment for Latin Music Project group classes between June and October of each year. Cuatro, guitar and violin classes in beginner and intermediate levels are held October-May of each year. To inquire about group classes for next year, contact:

PRAA offers individual private lessons year-round. Classes are offered for children or adults and are held in four one-hour sessions (cuatro, guitar or violin). Classes are scheduled based on student/instructor availability.
Students may audition to join our Latin Music Ensemble, including: cuatro, guitar, violin, vocal, percussion, and more. The group meets year-round (once per week) for practice and performs at events throughout Chicagoland. To schedule an audition to join the ensemble, email email@example.com or call 773-342-8865 x 104.
We are very proud to announce that El Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico (The Conservatory of Music, Puerto Rico) and PRAA have established a formal partnership to offer special opportunities and education to students from Chicago and Puerto Rico. Special thanks to Chancellor Hernandez Mergal, Dean Ilsalmar Hernandez, Professor Ariel Guzman and the Board of Directors for believing in our work.
