As the warm and sunny weather brightens our days, we begin to think in terms of summer fun and vacation breaks. Here at PRAA, our students are anticipating the end of the school year while also making plans for filling their upcoming free time with Music and Art.

Each summer, the Latin Music Project and the Studio Arts & Exhibition program keep our youth safe and engaged by offering apprenticeship programs that provide opportunities to create art and play music. Music program students engage in individual and group rehearsals with their accomplishments culminating in an end of summer concert performance. Art program students explore different media in depth, build portfolios, and their summer artwork is showcased at an exhibition. These programs offer job-skills building including time management, group work, self and group critique, and critical thinking that all can be applied in higher education and the future workplace.

PRAA serves more than 30,000 children, youth, and audience members through heritage based programs, performances, exhibitions, and events. In an effort to continue providing these culturally based initiatives, we ask that you invest in our programs by making a tax-deductible donation TODAY! You may utilize the enclosed envelope, visit our website at, or contact Nancy Ward at 773-342-8865 x105.

We invite you to join us at our upcoming events including the National Cuatro Festival, November 2, 2019 at the Harris Theater, sign-up for our email list, like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram. It is through your support that we continue “Uniting People Through Culture.”
