Where are you located?


PRAA’s main site (PRAA Center) is located at 3000 N Elbridge Ave in Chicago (near the intersection of Milwaukee Ave and Central Park Ave). In addition, PRAA holds classes at two additional community centers – the Latin Music Project Center (2958 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago) and the Humboldt Park Field House (1440 N Sacramento Ave, 2nd Floor, Chicago). How much are classes?


PRAA’s Latin Music Project classes are $50 to enroll plus $100 per student per class ($50 per student for two or more children or youths). Small group and private classes are also offered. The Studio Arts Program offers after-school Studio Arts Teen’s Apprenticeships and Adult Art Classes. Teens can apply for an apprenticeship by downloading and submitting PRAA’s Registration Form and calling to schedule an interview. Do you have to be Puerto Rican to take classes or participate in PRAA events?


Absolutely not! PRAA firmly believes in its motto ‘uniting people through culture’ and all programs and events are open to participants of all backgrounds.

How do I purchase National Cuatro Festival tickets and how much are they?


National Cuatro Festival tickets go on sale each August for the event in November. To purchase tickets, you may contact PRAA at 773-342-8865 x 104 or purchase tickets directly from the Harris Theater. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and cost $25, $50 or $75. A surcharge, imposed by the Harris Theater, may add $2-$5 to your ticket price (per ticket) depending on your method of purchase. PRAA members or groups of 10 individuals or more receive a discount of 10%-20% per ticket. Please contact PRAA before purchasing tickets to receive a discount code or discounted ticket. PRAA cannot retroactively apply a discount to tickets already purchased. All ticket sales are final.

How do I get to PRAA and where should I park?


PRAA’s main office is located at 3000 N Elbridge Ave near the intersection of Central Park and Milwaukee Aves. Many transit options are available to access our office via CTA trains and buses. In addition, parking is available behind PRAA Center (3000 N Elbridge Ave) or at the employee lot behind U.S. Bank. U.S. Bank is located at the corner of Central Park and Milwaukee Ave and the employee parking lot is behind the building and across Oakdale Ave. Please do not park in the bank’s customer lot or your car will be towed.

How old are students in PRAA programs?


PRAA’s afterschool programs are generally open to youth ages 8-18 years. Students younger than 8 years old or older than 18 should contact PRAA at 773-342-8865 x 104 for the availability of special classes offered throughout the year. PRAA events are open to all ages and backgrounds, unless otherwise noted.

Do programs run all year?


PRAA music classes run from October-May each year and often hold special summer session in July and August. Studio Arts classes run year-round in three sessions (Fall, Spring and Summer). Other programs are as-scheduled. You are encouraged to join our e-mail list to keep up-to-date with events and program registration deadlines throughout the year.
